Initial Consultation

This consultation for personal chef services is free of charge. Chef Kat will come to your home and discuss your preferences including likes/dislikes, any food allergies/sensitivities, and the frequency of your personal chef services.

 

Shopping

Shopping will be done the day of meal preparation. This will ensure that all ingredients are fresh. Any dietary needs or lifestyle preferences will be accommodated (such as gluten free, vegetarian, organic, soy free, and sodium restrictions). You are responsible for the cost of groceries. Payment for groceries will be taken once the menu is decided at the initial consultation. If services continue, payment for groceries will be taken on the day of meal preparation for the following week. This payment also acts as your personal chef service deposit. Chef Kat will return from shopping with all receipts and change reflecting what was spent for groceries on the day of service.

 

Meal Preparation

Preparation will be conducted at your home and Chef Kat will bring any additional supplies needed to prepare your meals. Items will be clearly labeled and placed in your fridge with heating instructions. Chef Kat will clean as she goes and leave your kitchen as she found it.

 

Pricing

Instead of charging per dish, you will only be billed for Chef Kat’s time and the cost of groceries. This allows you to formulate a meal plan without minimums. The flat rate is $325 per cook day + cost of groceries for on-site  in-home meal preparation. The flat rate includes meal planning, grocery shopping, and travel from market  to home. The onsite cook time will vary due to the amount of meals and their complexity. Typically, a week's worth of entrees with sides for a family of four will take about 3 hours to prepare, and about 2 hours to factor in custom menu planning, shopping, packaging, and clean-up.

 

Mileage included within a 30 mile radius or less. Additional fee of .55 a mile beyond 30 miles.

 

Payment

Payments for chef services are billed via email/text invoice prior to the cook appointment. Payments for groceries will be taken on the services begin in the form of cash, or Chef Kat will use the client’s debit/credit card, or a blank signed check. Chef Kat will always bring back receipts and change for all groceries. 

 

**(If you'd like to purchase 4-6 months of weekly service in advance, we offer a those weeks at $275/wk plus groceries. These weeks are valid from the date of purchase until 26 weeks thereafter and cannot be rolled over.)**
